FULL STEAM AHEAD: TUTOR RECRUITMENT

ODAC is looking to recruit tutors to join its extended team to deliver it's out-of-hours and learning project at the Euston Community Hub. The ideal candidate is creative, has experience working in primary and/or secondary educational settings, understands the challenges facing families in Euston, and is excited by the possibilities of supporting informal learning through creative and physical activities—and is available on Tuesday and/or Wednesday evenings!

If you think that person could be you, please get in touch with Mariam Hassan at mariam@olddiorama.com.

We’re building on the success of Remix Dance’s pilot homework club, to launch a new Out of School Hours Learning project at the Euston Community Hub (thanks to funding from The Euston Partnership via HS2) in response to the growing need for accessible Homework and study support in our community.

Our homework club and study support offers academic support with a creative twist, inspired by the STEAM educational approach. By putting the “A” of arts in Science Technology Engineering and Maths, we help children and young people approach homework, communication and self-expression in imaginative, engaging ways. Sessions blend structured homework with arts-based activities, movement, public speaking and creative problem-solving, making learning more motivating, confidence-building and fun.

The project is led and managed by ODAC’s Local Participation Manager: Mariam Hassan, with responsibilities for programme and workshop design and delivery; safeguarding, health & safety; promotion and recruitment.
