WORKSHOPS AT THE MAKESHOP

The Neighbourhood Makeshop will be reopening for making from January 2026!

We’re excited to again be supporting people to come together to repair, upcycle, create, and share a passion for reusing materials to make brilliant, functional art. Our accessible, friendly, DIY skill-sharing workshops will run twice weekly and are open to everyone! Come to learn, express yourself, share a cup of tea and collaborate; from crafting with cans, upcycling discarded street furniture or becoming proficient with power tools - we make it happen at the Makeshop.

Updates on our programme will come soon. Sign up for ODAC’s newsletter for information, and keep an eye on our Instagram for updates.

If you’ve got questions or ideas about workshops at the Makeshop, send Caitlin an email at caitlin@olddiorama.com.

If you’d like to support the future of this and other community-led projects, you can make a donation here.

WHO LEADS THE WORKSHOPS?

The workshops are delivered and facilitated by artist and community organiser Caitlin Strongarm.

A bit about the artist:
Hi! I’m Caitlin, or Caito; an anti-capitalist artist, community organiser, facilitator and maker. I’m a self-taught, curious and inventive DIYer who loves to explore creative-reuse of all manner of materials and mediums; sewing and textiles, wood and metalworking, paint, clay, plastic junk… I love to play with it all and see what can be made! I facilitate accessible workshops where anyone can come and develop their own makings skills, and curate immersive spaces for communities to connect and collaborate together.
