PERFORMANCES
CIRCUS PERFORMANCE: JOLI VYANN - LIFE’S A BEACH
1 pm & 4 pm
Joli Vyann’s new duet, Life’s a Beach, is a joyous, if a little chaotic, window into a day at the beach. A fun and playful observation of family life, it also carries darker undertones, raising questions about sewage in our seas and antisocial behaviour.
Using their unique dance/circus fusion, the work is familiar, nostalgic and funny. A life cycle played by a couple living by the sea from their 20s to old age, the show features hilarious scenarios of selfie obsessions, obnoxious beach behaviour and embarrassing swimwear. As it unfolds, audiences are moved by tender scenes of friendship, beach meditation, dog walking and the couple growing old together. The movement is dynamic, graceful and theatrical, creating a world and characters audiences can relate to.
ODAC’S REMIX DANCE
