Ocean’s artwork You Are Here encompasses a series of thirteen bold and innovative signs which reinterpret and re-present traditional road signs. Appearing in seemingly random locations, through their distinctive hand-painted gold lettering the embossed signs playfully celebrate the importance of home for the local community, whilst also commemorating the many lost spaces across the estate.
With thanks to Peter Tipper and the team at Tipper Signs in Essex who created each of the beautiful signs. Tipper Signs was founded in 1932 and is an original family run business with over 90 years of continuous manufacturing experience.
And huge thanks also to Marc van Gilst and Bradley Burtenshaw at Lush Landscapes for their installation expertise.
