Shiraaz Ali’s Growing Together is a colourful hand-painted mural on the walls of Pangbourne Meadow at William Road, offering a dramatic new backdrop to this passageway through the estate. The design includes stunning wildlife centrepieces, with a few spontaneous additions too - beloved pets belonging to residents who stopped to say hello and share their local stories.
Joining Shiraaz were artist Lois Costi-Mouyia who skillfully assisted in painting and Pete Holland who brought his invaluable multifaceted talents to the project.
With thanks to COO VAR anti-graffiti paint for their generous support.
‘I am deeply humbled to be able to have had the opportunity to transform an empty wall for the wonderful communities in Regent Park estate. The kindness, warm welcome and generosity of the locals has been magical and I am honoured to have created something that brings a smile to their faces, joy to the youth and makes them feel proud of their home’ - Shiraaz Ali.
