WE’RE RECRUITING NEW TRUSTEES!
Do you want to be part of the future of ODAC? Want to share and gain new experience, while contributing to the growth and development of our well-loved and impactful arts and community charity?
We are looking to recruit three or four new Trustees to join the Board, able to lend their experience, perspective and guidance to elements of our activity, programmes and identified needs for organisational development.
As a registered charity (Diorama Arts Centre), ODAC is governed by a Board of Trustees - a group of volunteers who lend their professional and personal experience to oversee the organisation. While day-to-day management and programmes are delegated to the staff team, the Trustees are ultimately responsible for the finances and direction of the charity.
We need a truly diverse team at all levels that reflects the communities that we serve. ODAC is committed to developing a team at all levels with diverse skills, backgrounds and lived experiences.
We are looking for people with some of the following professional experience (not in order of priority):
Commercial theatre, TV, film production and business
Supporting people with lived experience of homelessness
Senior leadership of a subsidised-sector arts organisation
Leading business financial growth and organisational scaling
Artists / socially-engaged artistic practice
Public health, social prescribing or ‘creative health’
Urban development/planning
Communications and marketing
Charity fundraising
We are actively seeking to develop representation on our board from people with lived experience of homelessness*; life in the Regent’s Park Estate, wider Euston, or comparable communities; people from Global Majority backgrounds; and disabled people.
(*This includes all forms of homelessness, including but not exclusively rough sleeping, sofa surfing, living in temporary accommodation, squatting, and living at risk of violence.)
You don’t need to have been a Trustee before. We’re more interested in what experience and viewpoint you can offer to ODAC’s development, and that you are properly able to commit the time.
“Being an ODAC trustee is an extremely rewarding role. It is an opportunity both to support the arts and the local Euston community by helping shape and drive forward a well-respected and ambitious charity, led by a dedicated and professional team.”
